PCS trade union education courses are taught by TUC tutors, subject-specialist tutors, accredited lay tutors and PCS staff.
Most PCS trade union education courses attract credits though the National Open College Network.
These credits, which are awarded at levels 2 and 3, are transferable and can be used in conjunction with other trade union education and lifelong learning opportunities to demonstrate your learning achievements or attained competences.
Courses are accredited through one of our partner colleges, the College of North East London.
PCS pays for all trade union education courses - there is no cost either to you or to your Branch. All expenses are paid including, where the course is residential, accommodation and food at the venue.
Travel and subsistence is paid in accordance with PCS rules. Those travelling by train can obtain tickets direct through the PCS travel agents, Baxter Hoare, telephone 020 7403 5566.
Other travel and subsistence is paid once you have attended the course. For regional courses travel and subsistence claims should be made to your regional centre. Travel and subsistence is paid by PCS HQ in respect of residential courses.
