About Ruskin College


Ruskin College is a residential college based on two sites on Oxford. Since its foundation in 1899, it has had close links with the trade union and labour movement and seeks to provide an opportunity for interested women and men to reach their full potential where they have missed out before.

PCS scholarships


PCS is offering one scholarship to attend Ruskin College, Oxford in the academic year 2008/2009. The full-time residential course allows participants to work towards a certificate in higher education. This is equivalent to 120 cats points (transferable university level credits) and provides 2nd year entry for most degree courses for those who wish to pursue their education further.

You choose from a range of core and complementary modules each term. Subjects available with the certificate include; creative writing, English studies, law, sociology, women's studies, computing, and youth & community work.

What the scholarship covers


The scholarship provides £1000 to the successful candidate to assist with personal expenditure (eg. books, travel etc.). The costs of tuition, board and accommodation are free to students who qualify for the adult education bursary. 

Entry requirements


You do not need any formal entry qualifications. Ruskin Collge is equipped to deal with members with both physical and learning disabilities.
