The course takes a detailed look at industrial relations institutions: trade unions, work, management and employers; public policy on industrial relations; and collective bargaining.

There is a strong emphasis on developing study and research skills.
The course lasts nine months part-time distance learning with three residential weekends in September, January and April.
The course is for people active in industrial relations. It is suitable for people resident anywhere in the UK.
PCS is offering four scholarships to experienced activists to attend the course in 2008/9.
The PCS scholarship covers the course fees (£675) plus a £50 contribution towards books and travel & subsistence.
