Crown Prosecution Service group

There are nearly 3 000 PCS members in CPS at present, but this figure is increasing all the time.

If you know anyone in CPS who is not a union member please encourage them to join.

All members have the right to stand for and vote for their branch executive committee or the group executive committee (GEC), which is elected every year.

The group executive committee

The GEC consists of the following members:

  • 1 President
  • 1 Vice-President
  • 1 Organiser
  • 1 Treasurer
  • 4 Assistant Secretaries
  • 10 Ordinary Members
  • and an appointed Group Secretary.

See the contacts pages for further details of current post holders.

The group secretary is a full-time officer of the Union and works out of PCS headquarters in London.

There is also a network of local reps.

To find out if there is a rep in your office see the contacts pages.

If you are interested in becoming a rep see the being a PCS rep section.

All members of PCS also have access to core services from the regional offices and HQ departments, see main contacts section for more information, and elect the national executive committee (NEC).
